Bio
Ann LePore is a former introvert and current intermedia artist who creates works that are heavily influenced by her experiences as a champion of science, civil society and as a seeker of secret landscapes. Her processes include projection mapping, animation, printmaking, installation, and data visualization. She uses narrative and symbolic images to create opportunities for community-building by creating contexts for viewers to become participants and interact with each other.

LePore has exhibited with e-Flux and Serpentine Gallery, London, and also shown her work in New York, Paris, Rome, Berlin, Moscow, Granada, and Art Basel Switzerland. Much of her research has been completed during artist residencies including at the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, and aboard the Research Vessel Sea Wolf. Ann received her MFA from the School of Visual Arts. She is currently Associate Professor of 3D Design and Animation at Ramapo College of New Jersey.

Statement
A long-term subject of my work has been the landscape, that seemingly familiar American environment; verdant, endless yet with a subtext of historical and environmental contradiction.  While I do use traditional forms such as printmaking and drawing, 3D computer animation, video, and programmed circuits are my central mediums. These forms can seem obscure to the uninitiated, but my goal is to use narrative and emotive images to create contexts that draw viewers in, and allow them to ask questions.
